My Shopping Cart Keeps Disappearing!

If you are experiencing an issue where the items in your shopping cart seem to "disappear," it may be due to several causes. Our website requires "cookies" to temporarily save your shopping selections. Additionally, if you are connecting to our website via AOL (or another service using a proxy), your proxy may interfere with our shopping cart. You may need to do either or both of the following:

How to Enable Cookies

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+
  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Privacy" tab.
  • Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".
  • Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Security" tab.
  • Click the "Custom Level" button.
  • Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
  • To enable:
    • Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
    • Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
  • Click "OK".
Mozilla Firefox
  • Go to the "Tools" menu.
  • Select "Options".
  • Select the "Privacy" icon in the top panel.
  • Click on the "Cookies" tab.
  • Check the box corresponding to "Allow sites to set cookies".
  • Click "OK" to save changes.
Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0
  • Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
  • Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.
  • Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies."
  • Select "Enable all cookies".
  • Click "OK".

How to Disable Your Proxy

Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • If you connect to the Internet through a dial-up modem, select the option from the list and click the "Settings" button. If you are connecting to the Internet through a cable or DSL modem, click the "LAN Settings" button.
  • In the "Proxy Server" area, remove the check mark next to "Use a proxy server for...."
  • Click "OK".
  • To re-enable your proxy later, repeat the above steps but reenable the check mark next to "Use a proxy server for..." instead.
Mozilla Firefox
  • Go to the "Tools" menu.
  • Select "Options".
  • Select the "Advanced" icon in the top panel.
  • Click on the "Network" tab.
  • Click the "Settings..." button.
  • Make a note of the currently enabled radio button on this screen, then click the radio button next to "No proxy."
  • Click "OK" to save changes.
  • To re-enable your proxy later, repeat the above steps but choose the previously enabled radio button that you noted before disabling the proxy.
